Specifications: A government entity retained Amplitude Research to provide survey design, language translations, online data collection, web survey sample, and comprehensive data analysis and report writing services for multiple online market research surveys. The surveys targeted recent past visitors to the United States from South American countries such as Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina, and European countries such as United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, and Norway.
Questionnaire Development: Amplitude Research custom designed a 12-minute survey questionnaire to be used for the studies and translated, programmed, and administered the surveys in the applicable native languages.
Survey Method Used: Online survey in each of the target countries with applicable age and gender balancing.
Approach and Research: One purpose of the studies was to better understand such travel aspects as frequency of travel, timing of travel, length of stay, sources of travel information, persons involved in decision-making process, method of travel, and travel destinations. Another purpose of the surveys was to evaluate traveler awareness, perceptions and ratings of different ad campaigns through the use of unaided and aided survey questions which included images and flash videos. Amplitude Research delivered written PowerPoint reports of findings, along with banner tabulation runs, providing in-depth analysis of the survey data including extensive sub-group comparisons and specific recommendations.
